George Bareham

I grew up in a small town in Yorkshire, in the north of England. There was a lot of play and running around and occasional getting into trouble! I had a great gang of friends. I remember my grandma taking us on trips across the river Humber on the big paddle steamer, the Tattershall Castle which is now a pub and restaurant, moored on the Thames in London. My home town was a quiet one and still hasn’t changed much though I now live south of London in the county of Kent.

I travelled for many years independently and lived abroad in various countries, particularly in South America. This is where I learned my Spanish. My tour guiding actually began in the Peruvian rainforest and has taken me all over the world. From Bangladesh to Brazil and everything in between.

I'm a musician too and have spent many years playing music. Our band recorded an album in Switzerland and we had a record deal with CBS.

My other passion is photography and as a working photographer, I have travelled extensively. Travel and people is my speciality. I've led many photography tours around the world especially in Africa. I’ll definitely be on hand to give any of you budding photographers any advice you may need and to help you in any way that I can!

Now that I am much more based in the UK, it gives me great pleasure to show people around my own country. There really is so much packed into our small island and there is so much to discover!
