The area I live in has centuries of history from the beautiful city of Bath to the prehistoric landscape of Stonehenge and Avebury.  In the spring we also witness the phenomenon of “crop circles” appearing in the local wheat fields  are they the work of alien visitors, a natural occurrence or elaborate hoaxes by dedicated humans?  What do you think?  I also had the opportunity of growing up in an area where it was not unusual to see members of the Royal Family.  This is still the case today although security is now more high profile

One of my earliest memories is being at my primary school, the whole school being taken into the hall where a black and white television had been set up to watch a “spaceman” walk on the moon.  It was 1969 and it told me that there was a world, and beyond, waiting for me to discover.  Music has also been a great influence for me and can provoke an immediate memory or emotion.  I seem to have developed a personal soundtrack to major events, people and occasions in my life that continues to increase with today’s travels and memories

The history and diversity of the UK is what I love most.  We are only a small island however our history is from Prehistoric Stonehenge to the recent birth of a future King.  The UK is a country for all seasons. – sometimes you can get all 4 seasons in 1 day – however it is a beautiful place consisting of natural landscape and buildings, communities developed throughout centuries and a diverse population with quirkiness and humor.  Working as a Program Director for Grand Circle Travel allows me the unique opportunity to showcase the true UK and the privilege of being part of my guest’s experience and memory.

Something I have learnt from my guest’s is that “travelling is one of the best forms of life’s education”.  With my tour not only do you have the opportunity to learn about a new country and culture, I encourage the opportunity to share your experience with new friends.  Every tour is a discovery because every group of travelers is different.  Their curiosity and participation, and the discoveries we share together, enables me to connect with my guests making it my privilege to be part of their vacation.
